In his role as senior design manager, Phillip has been involved with a multitude of projects ranging from hospitality, performing arts, educational, commercial and healthcare. He has also worked with community partners including the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. He is primarily involved with the initial stages of design, working diligently with clients to bring their visions to reality through an architectural solution. Phillip begins each project with hand sketching and believes that this encourages the clarity of ideas and artistic expression needed to create beautiful architecture. His design philosophy revolves around the idea that architecture is experiential—people will respond to spaces as they are immersed in them. He believes that architects should aim to create impactful moments for users as they experience a space.
