Laura graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture, and possesses almost 20 years of experience. Laura joined ESa in 2008, and focuses on hospitality, corporate office and senior living design in her role as Senior Design Manager. Her involvement often begins at the start of a project, as she helps to hone the client’s first glimpse of a vision, and often ends at construction completion. Laura believes that excellent client service is “when you’ve not just met, but exceeded, clients’ expectations.”
In the role of project architect, she drills into the finer details of a project. Laura is used to navigating challenging project budgets, and successfully coordinates the value engineering process without compromising design aesthetics. She follows industry design trends, and learns from contractors about changes in the field that may impact the way she thinks about design.
As a LEED accredited professional and USGBC Middle TN Chapter member, Laura stays abreast of sustainability issues that impact the industry. She facilitates sustainability education at ESa, helping staff stay current on the issues relating to green design and LEED certification. In her personal time, Laura cares for her daughter, practices yoga, volunteers with Room in the Inn and is involved with her church.
