With more than two decades of design experience, Lee serves as a principal and senior design manager at ESa, where he leads projects across a diverse range of sectors including hospitality, commercial, mixed-use, residential, healthcare and the arts. Since joining the firm, Lee has been instrumental in shaping impactful, community-oriented architecture and is known for his strong design leadership and hands-on involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle. His expertise in 3D modeling, virtual walkthroughs and BIM integration helps bring client visions to life with clarity and creativity. Lee is a passionate advocate for architecture that serves its users while enriching the built environment. He believes that thoughtful, well-executed design can leave a lasting impression and elevate everyday experiences.
His contributions to the profession have been widely recognized. Lee received the AIA Tennessee Presidential Award of Excellence and was named Historic Preservation Champion of the Year by the Nashville Business Journal in 2020. In 2025, he was honored on the Nashville Post’s “In Charge” list, highlighting leaders who drive progress with integrity and action.
An active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Lee has served in leadership roles at both state and local levels, including as president of AIA Middle Tennessee. He continues to support the profession through involvement with the AIA Committee on Design and Advocacy Committee. Lee is a frequent speaker and moderator within the design community, having served as Conference Chair for the AIA Tennessee State Conference and a panel moderator at the Southern Lodging Summit in Memphis. He most recently hosted an event for Nashville Design Week: From Fiction to Fabrication: The Mary Louise Design Story – Tempo by Hilton.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, Lee was recently inducted into the university’s prestigious Siena Society, recognizing his commitment to leadership, energy and the advancement of architectural education. He is also an alumnus of McCallie School in Chattanooga, an early influence in his dedication to excellence.
