This interior buildout for a corporate client includes 12 offices, 8 workstations, meeting rooms, a boardroom, in addition to kitchen and lounge space. Designed in a modern, refined-industrial style, the office features exposed cross-laminated timber and steel structure accented by upscale detailing elements.

The main challenge of the project was the client’s desire to provide natural light in a space that includes perimeter offices. The design team structured these perimeter offices along two sides of the floorplan, allowing the windows to direct natural light into the open office workstations. Additionally, glazed office fronts pass light through the perimeter offices into the rest of the space. Large windows in the lounge, kitchen and conference spaces offer added natural light and sweeping views of the surrounding neighborhood.

Planned with a focus on growth and flexibility, offices and small conference rooms are designed to the same dimensions. This enables these spaces to transition between various functions as needed. The work lounge in the open office space enables employees to change their work environment, take breaks and gather. This space is also multi-use and can transform to support more workstations as needed in the future.
