Tom’s leadership showcases nearly 30 years of experience in interior design for healthcare clients and the communities they serve. As interior design principal, he takes preliminary design concepts from early stages through project completion. He is passionate about mentorship and teaching others. Tom enjoys creating spaces that complement the design language of a building’s exterior detailing. He believes that good design is not only about creating a great facility, but also about building great relationships with the people who will use it. Tom believes in fostering a team approach to design. He defines excellent client service as listening to clients’ needs and involving them throughout the design process–so that everyone can be proud of the final design.
Tom values partnerships with his clients, which include Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, Tenet Health, Piedmont Healthcare, Baptist Health, Covenant Health, CHI Health and various community-based hospitals, across the country.
Outside of the office, Tom volunteers for Love Helps, Inc., a Nashville-based non-profit, working in public schools in Middle Tennessee to promote literacy, student achievement and positive character through a variety of school-based programs. Tom is passionate about his faith and his family. In his free time, Tom enjoys sketching and spending time with his wife and kids. Professionally, he is an active member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
