The Top Golf Swing Suite is located within the overall footprint of the recently completed Tempo by Hilton hotel. A warm and inviting atmosphere welcomes guests to gather, mingle and socialize between multiple activities, including two indoor golf simulators, ping pong table and a shuffleboard table.
The client conceptualized a space that would appeal to hotel guests and the local community, creating a unique social experience for golfers and non-golfers. The interior design was inspired by elements associated with the game of golf. The undulating forms found in sand traps provided inspiration for soft curves and rounded elements found in architectural details, wallcovering patterns and custom millwork. The wood look flooring was inspired by the “hickory” wood used in antique golf clubs. Glass shades at the light fixtures reference the shape and color of golf balls.
A centrally located reception desk greets guests upon arrival. The reception desk also serves as a location to provide food and beverages to guests. Two full height window walls provided an opportunity for creative space planning and problem solving. The golf simulators were located to “float” off the window walls at each end of the space, allowing for custom exterior facing signage at street level, while concealing the exposed back side of the simulators. Full height operable sheer drapery treatments are installed at the window walls to minimize glare at the simulators, enhancing the guest experience. A large custom double-sided banquette with a modern plaid fabric and attached side tables was designed to bridge the open space between the simulators, maximizing the seating capacity. Small scale swivel lounges chairs were selected to provide flexibility. Multifunctional drink rails provide additional separation between other activities and the simulators. Custom storage was created to conceal unsightly items including technology but also give easy access to golf clubs and other simulator accessories. Due to an expedited project schedule, the custom millwork was coordinated virtually with 3D modelling, substantially reducing the review process. The resulting interior design creates a fun atmosphere that welcomes all ages to relax and engage in a unique entertainment venue.
