Located in the heart of Nashville, the Motto by Hilton Nashville is a creative example of innovative design and efficient space utilization. A design-build project led by Mortenson, this new construction project aims to deliver a modern and welcoming hospitality experience that seamlessly integrates with the historic charm of downtown Nashville. Located at 311 3rd Avenue, the hotel spans 78,000 square feet across 13 floors and is designed to maximize every inch of its compact site. With 260 hotel keys, the project is a significant addition to Nashville’s hospitality sector, embracing the challenge of fitting a high number of rooms into a small footprint while ensuring that each space is both functional and inviting.
The design philosophy behind the Motto by Hilton Nashville focuses on blending modern efficiency with historic elegance. The building’s façade features ornate brickwork that pays homage to the historic Broadway area, creating a seamless blend of old and new. Inside, the spaces are designed to offer a comfortable and contemporary experience for guests. Key features include a thoughtfully set back entrance on 3rd Avenue, creating a gracious and human-scaled street presence, and a unique vehicular drop-off area within the internal courtyard, enhancing guest convenience and providing a private, open-to-the-sky entrance. The ground floor integrates public spaces such as the Commons lounge and lobby, designed for guest comfort and social interaction, while a monumental staircase leads to the second-floor bar and patio, offering guests a stylish and inviting space to relax and unwind.
The Motto by Hilton Nashville is more than just a hotel, it is a thoughtfully designed space that enhances the guest experience while respecting the historic context of the neighborhood. The project includes a welcoming arrival courtyard, conference space designed to accommodate business meetings and events, and a comfortable ground floor commons lounge for guests to relax and socialize. This project stands out for its innovative approach to space utilization and its commitment to blending modern design with historic elements. The attention to detail at the ground level complements the surrounding historic sites, creating a cohesive and engaging environment for guests, offering a unique and memorable hospitality experience.
