The addition of a hospital, medical office building and parking structure to an existing, freestanding emergency department creates a comprehensive medical campus with flexibility for future growth. The four-story, full-service hospital contains 161 beds and features med/surg, ICU, behavioral health, PICU, post-partum and NICU spaces, along with a helipad on the roof. A spacious, two-story lobby serves as a central wayfinding element, providing ample natural light and café and coffee bar amenities. Designed for future expansion to 10 stories, the hospital’s total number of elevators will nearly double, from seven to 13, to satisfy increased demands. A new freestanding central energy plant is also included to serve the expanded campus.

The new hospital connects, on-grade, to the adjacent MOB, emergency department and parking structure. Designed in a Mediterranean style with masonry and stucco facades, both the hospital and MOB set the tone for future retail and commercial developments located just north of the healthcare campus’ compact, 11-acre site. The new, four-story, 100,000 square foot MOB, with shelled space for future tenants, is designed to expand an additional three levels.

All mechanical elements are located on the floors, as opposed to the roof, for ease of expansion and minimal disruption to services. The connected seven-story parking garage is designed for future expansion of up to 13 stories to accommodate anticipated campus growth.
