Housing a new, dedicated campus welcome and admissions center for prospective students and visitors, this six-story building also serves as the home for the Belmont Innovation Lab and the Data Collaborative, in addition to containing faculty offices and computer science classrooms.
Situated on top of an existing, subterranean parking garage, the facility reflects the established campus context and completes the main campus quad, while its verticality creates a new monumental viewing point of the surrounding campus. Open spaces throughout encourage a collaborative work environment that is non-traditional and accommodating to cross-discipline interaction. Lobby spaces are large and inviting, incorporating a café that is open to both students and the surrounding community.
Designed as a highly-cooperative learning and co-working environment, this space houses classrooms, mixed-use areas for study/instruction and features the latest technology for use in the college of business and the incubator inspired data collaborative space. The facility also includes the Bruin Store, a campus spirit store, along with retail space occupied by student led entrepreneurial initiatives.
The tallest academic building on the campus’ Eastern side, the Jack C. Massey Center creates a signature welcome area for admissions and houses innovative new academic programs emblematic of Belmont’s continued growth.
