The student life center and event center are joined together by a grand atrium to form a single campus building. While this facility establishes an integrated student life zone to balance the academic core, it also opens the south side of the campus to the community. The building follows the curving edge of the boulevard and complements adjacent community businesses. The components include:

  • Curb Event Center is a 5,000-seat entertainment and athletic venue with lockers, offices, Vince Gill Room with roof plaza and box seats. Its infrastructure includes wiring for speakers, hook-ups for equipment and structural support for hanging equipment.
  • Beaman Student Life Center houses student organizations, student lounge, offices and space for student affairs and the Dean of Students’ office. Recreational space with three parallel practice courts, auxiliary gym, two racquetball courts, climbing wall and aerobic and fitness rooms are also in the Center.
  • The Maddox Grand Atrium, an expansive anteroom, is utilized for receptions, dinners and concerts.
  • The Curb Café is open to the community and includes a student performance area. Adjoining retail space is available for student run businesses.
  • The parking garage provides spaces for 836 vehicles that are virtually hidden from view by neighboring homes.
