Through innovative, strategic planning, ESa completed the addition of this new basketball, volleyball and tennis practice facility to an already-planned parking garage that is topped with tennis courts. The design and branding of the new facility reflects Belmont University’s student athlete-centric and recruiting friendly athletic program.

A two-story lobby with a mezzanine with vibrant branding openly welcomes the student athletes into its spaces. A seamless connection is established between the coaches’ area and the entrance to players’ area. Front and back-of- house elevators are available.

The state-of-the-art facility, featuring a green roof, includes three basketball courts with electronic drop-down nets for volleyball; separate men’s and women’s basketball lounges, locker rooms and showers; women’s volleyball lounge; tennis lounges; a sports performance/weight room area; treatment room; conference room overlooking the basketball court/volleyball court and a video film room.

To maintain the overall schedule of the parking garage construction, ESa created an excavation package and footprint that allowed the contractor to complete the site work, while finalizing the garage and tennis courts. This efficient approach not only delivered space and athletic synergies to the campus, but at the same time, accomplished significant cost savings for the university.
