Designed in the early 1990s, the One Century Place commercial office complex is located in the Cool Springs area of Franklin, Tenn. The office complex establishes a strong visual presence with its twin nine-story towers, which are connected at every floor by a glass-walled atrium. The building includes a 38,000-square-foot conference center, a 150-seat amphitheater, a state-of-the-art computer center and a fully equipped television studio. Parking for 1,800 vehicles is below grade on four levels that are connected by elevators to the above offices.

Design elements include pre-cast exterior concrete establishes a geometric grid that intersects with a complementary grid of heavy mullions incorporated into the solid glass facade. Upon approaching the building’s colonnaded, semi-circular porte-cochère, the stepped concrete establishes a focal point at the entrance. This award-winning design was meticulously crafted to cater to modern technology requirements. Telecommunications infrastructure, including cables and data transmission circuitry, is seamlessly integrated, facilitating flexible office layouts. Dubbed a “kit of parts,” this approach prioritizes efficiency and adaptability.

One Century Place is a prominent fixture in the Nashville area’s corporate landscape, offering a professional environment for various companies and organizations.
