The seven-story independent living component and the single-story skilled nursing residence were completed as Phase I of the continuing care retirement community.

Brookdale Senior Living later introduced Phase II as a new transitional concept in this community called Clare Bridge Crossings, which is a step between assisted living and memory care. This transitional area provides residents independence in a safe environment, incorporating large common space areas and engaging activities, while the memory care center uniquely provides familiar store fronts in a town center. Designed with a Spanish-style exterior and Coastal Colonial interior, the three-story Phase II facility includes a 35-bed memory care center and 65 assisted living accommodations.

Amenities include a café, theater room and salon as well as other dining areas, living areas with fireplaces, activity areas, spa bathing and fitness areas. The memory care center incorporates several life skills stations that encourage parenting, gardening, clerical, vanity, sewing and other activities to help engage the brain in familiar ways.
