Sarah was inspired to study interior design after working 15 years in the food service and hospitality industries. This experience has proven invaluable in her hospitality design focus that includes hotels, casinos and spas. Sarah earned an associate’s degree from Watkins College of Art and Design in Nashville, and joined ESa in 1996.
The process of design has always intrigued her. Sarah enjoys working with the owner from the spark of an imagined idea through all stages of nurturing and development, beginning with sketches and ending with a built environment that creates a unique guest experience. She regards opportunities to research and source custom materials and objects that can be modified to enhance the brand and concept of each property as an exciting adventure. A number of her interior projects have won interior design awards and have been recognized in various publications.
Sarah has expertise at a senior proficiency level with Building Information Modeling (BIM), and is part of the ESa team helping establish, guide and implement BIM systems and processes. She is a passionate photographer and also enjoys traveling. She travels to a different destination each year to explore local architecture and museums, taste the foods and experience outdoor activities.
