Gary, who possesses more than 30 years of professional experience, joined ESa in 1983. He has served the firm in various ways over the years, including providing project management and construction contract administration services on some of the firm’s largest projects. In his role as Construction Contract Administrator, Gary reviews and assists the contractor with construction documents throughout the construction phase of a project, while also walking the owner/client through the construction process as their vision comes to life. As part of ESa’s in-house Quality Management process, he is also a resource to architectural and interior design staff during the project’s design and detailing phase.

Gary considers his greatest professional accomplishment creating facilities in communities with a real need for the service, and he believes that excellent client service is demonstrated when “we not only listen, but really HEAR what a person is telling us.” Clients’ appreciation gives Gary great pride in having been part of a project, and knowing that “what we do provides places of healing, comfort and well-being to those who may be suffering” keeps him coming back to work each day.

Gary is a member of the national, state and local AIA and the Nashville Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). When not working or traveling for work, Gary enjoys camping, hiking and wood working. He is currently working to improve his furniture building skills. He earned his Associate Degree in Architectural Engineering from Nashville State Technical Institute in 1988.
