Eddie grew up on a rice and soybean farm in eastern Arkansas, where he learned many lessons—including a good work ethic and the necessity of ingenuity. Eddie believes that maintaining honest and sincere communication while meeting project needs is the key to excellent client service. Eddie joined ESa in 1988, after graduating from the University of Arkansas with his Bachelor of Architecture in 1986. He serves the firm by fulfilling many different roles—principal, Director of Construction Contract Administration and senior project manager.
As a senior project manager, he works with clients, contractors, and communities on healthcare and commercial design projects. Eddie has extensive experience in acute care design, and his design philosophy is to “provide clients with a valuable built environment that positively impacts people for generations.” Eddie is involved in various project phases, from initial planning through the production of contract documents, to providing construction administration services.
In his role as Director of Construction Contract Administration, Eddie works with others in helping ESa to adapt, improve and change with the challenges of today’s architectural practice. As we all work together and learn from one another, his favorite role is a dual one: that of mentor and mentee. Outside of the office, Eddie is involved in family and church activities. He enjoys gardening, traveling and discovering new places and watching sporting events.
