Derek serves as senior project manager, leading design development user group meetings, coordinating with team members and consultants, directing construction document coordination and conducting code research and compliance. He coordinates job production, activity and progress on many of ESa’s larger healthcare projects. He has experience on a wide variety of projects including new hospitals, healthcare facility renovations/additions and medical office buildings. Derek believes that excellent client service is providing good, responsive design that creates repeat business. His personal design philosophy is to listen to the client, understand the project and try to keep it simple. He is inspired to come to work each day because of the sense of job satisfaction, and his love of creating architecture and the respect given to all.
