The new Innovation Center at Brentwood Academy expands the school’s learning spaces with a focus on innovation, creativity and connection. The project adds two art classrooms, an innovation and entrepreneurship classroom, a new robotics lab, a collaboration lounge and outdoor gathering space.
Designed as an extension of the existing upper school, the new building ties seamlessly into the surrounding campus architecture while introducing a fresh, modern look. Thoughtful brick detailing and expansive glass bring in natural light, creating bright, open spaces that inspire collaboration and creativity.
Despite being built on a tight infill site, the team successfully integrated structural, civil and mechanical systems to meet functional needs without compromising aesthetics. A redesigned roofline discreetly houses mechanical equipment while maintaining a cohesive campus appearance, reinforcing one edge of a campus quad.
The result is a contemporary yet timeless addition that enhances the campus environment and supports Brentwood Academy’s mission to foster hands-on, forward-thinking learning experiences.
