Betty Wiseman Hall redefines campus living at Belmont University, creating a vibrant home away from home for students. At over 300,000 square feet, this residence hall was designed to foster connection, offering spaces that support both daily living and a strong sense of community.
The design team maximized every square foot, adding more than 100 extra beds during design by extending the building onto newly acquired land. With both suite-style and apartment-style units, the hall brings together freshmen and upperclassmen while giving each group spaces that fit their needs. Two wings with separate lobbies keep the scale approachable, while shared lounges, sun porches, retail and gathering spaces spark connection across the entire building.
At the heart of student life, Betty Wiseman Hall introduces three new dining venues and the university’s central catering kitchen, easing demand on Belmont’s main dining hall while offering students more variety. An E-Sports lounge and tournament center add a cutting-edge dimension, supporting Belmont’s new collegiate gaming program and giving students a place to drop in, play, or compete on a larger stage.
Design innovations include townhouse-style residences perched on the tenth floor, breathtaking views of downtown Nashville and a signature corner tower that serves as a social hub on every floor, welcoming students to gather, connect and build memories. The building honors its history with Mishaw Family Courtyard, named after the family that previously owned the property.
Betty Wiseman Hall is a community anchor, a place where learning, living, dining and play come together in a modern, student-focused environment that reflects Belmont University’s commitment to student experience, innovation, and campus growth.
