In the heart of downtown Nashville, a new 257-key boutique hotel is proposed to rise 17 stories with a bold architectural identity that blends sculptural elegance, urban connectivity and material warmth to create a destination as dynamic as the city itself.

At street level, the hotel’s podium anchors the building with a rich, tactile composition and a welcoming lobby and restaurant facing 4th Avenue. Behind a rhythmic array of sculptural panels, a layer of composite wood cladding adds depth and warmth, grounding the structure in the natural textures of Tennessee. The prefabricated panels are angled and faceted, creating a dynamic surface that catches light and shadow throughout the day and gives the façade a sense of movement and energy.

Above the podium, the tower emerges as a refined vertical expression composed solely of the exterior panels and glass in a modular, rhythmic pattern. The angled panels continue upward, forming a sculptural skin that alternates with transparent glass modules. This interplay of solid and void creates a visually engaging façade while optimizing daylight and views for guest rooms. The repetition of modules brings order and clarity, while the angled geometry adds texture and depth.

The tower’s slender form is designed to foster openness and light while maintaining a unique identity from afar. At the top, a rooftop lounge and bar offer sweeping views of the Nashville skyline and Cumberland River, wrapped in warm woods and dynamic textiles for a unique and memorable experience. Above the podium outside the fitness room is, an expansive outdoor terrace featuring a pool and bar designed to accommodate both large gatherings and intimate moments of relaxation. The terrace blends lush landscaping with sculptural seating and shaded alcoves, creating a retreat for travelers to unwind after a long day.

Sustainability is also integral to the project’s ethos. The building incorporates areas of green roof and a comprehensive stormwater management system that reuses rainwater to serve the building’s cooling tower. These strategies contribute to a high-performance envelope and support the project’s goal of achieving LEED Silver certification.

This hotel does not simply occupy space. It sculpts a new kind of urban hospitality rooted in material honesty, rhythmic design and a deep connection to Nashville’s evolving cultural landscape.
