The new 40-bed, three-story hospital, which has a separate ED entrance, was designed to accommodate two levels of vertical expansion for additional patient beds. Radiology, surgery, pharmacy, PACU and CSP, outpatient physical therapy, dining, registration and other support spaces are located on the first floor.

The 38,085-square-foot second floor patient care unit includes 16 med/surg beds, four ICU rooms, four PCU rooms, LDRP rooms, one C-Section room, six GYN rooms, well-baby and Level II nursery and tenant space. The third floor includes mechanical systems and 8,274 square feet of tenant space. Administration, human resources and medical record services are located in the adjacent connecting medical office building. The facility is designed to separate the back of house functions from public traffic, and departments are arranged to provide the best adjacencies for overall hospital function.

The hospital and POB design incorporates both rustic and modern elements. The combination of quarry stone and simulated stone rain screen system was utilized to reflect the surrounding landscape. The main entrance to the hospital opens into a three-story atrium with floor to ceiling curtain wall, which offers an expansive view of the surrounding Wasatch Mountain Range. The main lobby provides easy access to the hospital and direct connectivity to the MOB, indoor and outdoor dining areas and a coffee shop.
