The design of this 40-bed hospital and connected POB incorporates both rustic and modern elements to encourage optimum functionality. The combination of quarry stone and simulated stone rain screen system was utilized to reflect the surrounding landscape, and the main entrance to the hospital opens into a three-story atrium with floor to ceiling views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountain Range. The main lobby provides easy access to the hospital, and direct connectivity to the adjoining three-story MOB, indoor and outdoor dining areas and a coffee shop.
The 40-bed, three-story hospital, which was designed to accommodate two levels of vertical expansion for additional patient beds, includes a separate ED entrance. The facility is designed to separate the back of house functions from public traffic, and departments are arranged to provide the best adjacencies for overall hospital function.
