Meghan Hartwell Honored as Healthcare Design Magazine’s HCD 10 Awards Winner
The annual Healthcare Design (HCD) 10 awards recognize standout professionals who are driving the future of healthcare design.
We are proud to share that Meghan Hartwell, principal and senior project manager, has been named this year’s HCD 10 MVP, a well-deserved honor that highlights her significant contributions to project success.
Meghan’s leadership on the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur M. Blank Hospital was a key factor in her recognition. She co-led the development of “Cardboard City,” one of the largest full-scale hospital mockups in the country. This immersive, pre-construction simulation helped identify design challenges early and allowed the team to fine-tune spatial layout, saving time and resources while enhancing the end-user experience.
With two decades of experience, Meghan brings deep expertise to healthcare projects across the U.S. She plays a central role in coordinating with consultants and internal teams to translate design intent into detailed construction documents. Her responsibilities span from master planning and schematic design to construction administration, all while ensuring compliance with owner expectations, codes, and jurisdictional regulations. Passionate about creating environments that heal, Meghan is committed to supporting patients, families, and caregivers through thoughtful design.
Meghan will be featured in the June/July issue of Healthcare Design magazine and honored at the HCD Forum this summer.
