This new, 340,000-square-foot campus focuses on improving the health of the people in the community, managing care in a non-traditional model, and creating an ambulatory-focused environment that supports the system’s ability to deliver health services across the full continuum of need. With this new healthcare model, Centura Health is seeking to move beyond the walls of the hospital by providing an environment conducive to prevention, education, and treatment.

The ambulatory campus includes a 96-bed, 282,000-square-foot hospital and a 58,000-square-foot integrated physician’s office building in this System of Care facility. Since the facility is based on a model that fully integrates outpatient services and physician practices with inpatient services and the existing facility, the design supports this integration and physician alignment. The hospital and integrated ambulatory care center connect to the St. Anthony North Medical Pavilion, a 49,000-square-foot freestanding emergency department, outpatient imaging center, and medical office building that opened earlier.

Other key concepts in the campus design include a focus on convenience, service and access, lean design principles, sustainable practices, and evidence-based design concepts. St. Anthony North is a Planetree Affiliate, actively integrating human-centered care principles into the facility design with a holistic approach to providing healthcare services.
