The four-story concept design of the new Arima Hospital facility addresses mandated height restrictions and site boundaries by creating a visual sky plane stepping of levels. This solution, designed to fit into the surrounding backdrop, locates hospital services within each floor plate to support functional flow between departments.

Access to nature is incorporated through visual and physical connections, including a healing garden. The interior dining space off the main lobby flows into an outdoor dining bistro area with a serpentine walk that takes advantage of the outdoors. Natural light is featured throughout, including the two-story lobby and the windows at the end of patient corridors.

The much anticipated full-service hospital includes emergency, radiology, dietary, surgery, and outpatient/ambulatory services, as well as inpatient beds for internal medicine, psychiatry, surgical/orthopedics/burn, intensive care unit/high dependency unit, gynecology, obstetrics/delivery/LDR, a newborn nursery, and a special care baby unit.
