In his role as Project Manager, Mike takes pride in partnering with other design team members from early schematic design through construction contract administration to oversee the creation of construction documents for senior living and medical projects. During this process, he models in Revit; coordinates interior designers’, engineering consultants’ and owners’ concerns; writes specifications and directs the production team. He also interacts with local and state agencies to achieve code compliance.

Mike possesses experience with new construction, conversion, expansion and renovation projects for senior living communities across the country, including independent living residences, assisted living communities, memory care communities and skilled nursing facilities. His portfolio also includes experience with medical, commercial and educational projects. Mike believes that good design “involves its community and responds to its surroundings, both in architectural appearance and context.”

Mike joined ESa in 2002, after earning his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee. Mike is a member of ESa’s “Revit Round Table,” assisting with the creation and maintenance of in-house Revit standards. When not in the office, Mike is a sports enthusiast and enjoys all forms of music: listening at home, attending live shows and festivals and collecting records. He even plays the drums and sings…karaoke. (Ha!)
