Jack joined ESa in 2012 and has over 40 years of construction administration experience. As Quality Manager, Jack leads the Quality Management (QM) team in reviewing the firm’s projects for constructability and code compliance during key project phases. Jack’s role involves interacting with project design team members and consultant engineers throughout a project’s natural progression of design. He helps to verify that, once construction documents are issued at the end of the project, the vast majority of construction issues have already been addressed, and only the final review of plans is necessary.

Jack has provided quality management for many project types across the country, and appreciates that ESa views this process as essential to a project’s success. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee in 1980, and has a diverse background in project design and delivery, construction estimating, project construction management and project delivery for architectural firms. Jack has worked directly with local and state codes officials and healthcare agencies for facilities in all fifty states. Additional QM responsibilities include aiding in the refinement of specifications and developing standard details for new technologies and materials as they arrive on the market and are selected for use on ESa’s projects.

Although clients and designers may never meet members of the team, Jack’s goal is that the team’s observation, review and compliance efforts will be “felt with a more fluid construction process.” Jack is passionate about mentoring young designers and project architects. He is inspired to come to work each day because of ESa’s “talented group of young people that realize the value of experience.”
