Darrell is a Senior Project Manager with over 30 years of professional experience. Since joining ESa in 1990, he has gained experience on a wide variety of project types—educational facilities, libraries, corporate office, hospitality and community and the arts projects. He has also worked on various healthcare and senior living projects. Darrell earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee in 1982 and a B.A. degree in Art from Lipscomb University in 1979.

In his role as Senior Project Manager, Darrell manages the day-to-day activities related to the various phases of many of ESa’s larger projects. His responsibilities include coordinating job production, activity and progress and mentoring younger team members. Darrell also typically remains in close contact with clients from the design through the construction phases of a project. He defines excellent client service as being able to “satisfy a client’s design expectations, while staying within their budget and meeting their schedule.”

Because of his vast experience and keen attention to design and detail, Darrell has worked on many of the firm’s most prestigious projects—including the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Gaylord Opryland Hotel and various projects for Belmont University. Darrell’s personal design philosophy is to “listen, learn, and deliver.” When not in the office, Darrell enjoys golfing, home improvement projects and spending time with his family. Originally from Nashville, Darrell has called this city home for over 50 years.
