Cheryl joined ESa in 2001, and has over 18 years of experience with healthcare projects of various scope and size throughout the country. In her role as Design Manager, she provides conceptual design, long-term facility master planning, interior space planning and coordination of medical equipment services. Cheryl helps clients (particularly hospitals) realize their visions for how they would like to administer care within their communities, sometimes helping to adjust operational processes based on new healthcare trends.
Cheryl also possesses experience with project team coordination—from schematic design, to construction documents and through construction administration. She believes excellent client service is attained by speaking the same language, and “integrating yourself into your clients’ operational practice to understand their perspective and how you can help them advance in the future.”
Cheryl graduated with a Master of Architecture degree (with a concentration in Architecture + Health) from Clemson University, and a BA in Interior Design from Florida State University. A member of the Academy of Architecture for Health Council for over 10 years, Cheryl serves on several committees, coordinating and producing educational webinars and providing mentorship to younger interns. In her personal time, Cheryl loves to travel (rarely to the same location twice), golfing, running and cooking/baking.
